A coalition of NGOs against female genital mutilation project

It is a project that aims to make quick and effective interventions to abandon the habit of female genital mutilation in Greater Cairo and support girls in the educational process, as well as raise the awareness of parents, especially women, and improve the health and nutritional status of marginalized girls who belong to poor and destitute families, raise their educational level and help them to continue their education. 

The educational process and ensuring the assistance of everyone who deals with this group, whether from inside or outside the community.

In the first phase, the program helps more than 300 families in Al-Khousos and Izbat Al-Nakhl.

The project participated with an elementary school in the region and a number of volunteers in the region. In helping girls and boys in this age group of 8-10 years to continue their studies, ensure their success, and improve their living, health, social and economic conditions. And raising their educational, cultural and health level, especially marginalized girls, and the number of beneficiaries of the project has reached more than 900 families so far.
